Musical Theatre B
Prerequisite: None (Musical Theatre A suggested)
This course is designed for performers to work their overall storytelling and musical theatre performance skills of singing, dancing, and acting. Performers will explore how to function as an ensemble and execute group choreography, practice foundational dance skills, learn how to create stage pictures and direct/choreograph small group numbers, collaborate on duets/trios, leverage vocal techniques (projection, intonation, breath support, articulation) to enhance characterization, refine presentation of self and professional audition behaviors just to name a few. Throughout this course, actor’s will also develop critical eye as they analyze, rehearse, and perform roles from a variety of Broadway musicals and styles. This is a practical performance class, you will be expected to sing, dance, and collaborate every day.
