Casting is a puzzle and can sometimes be daunting. Your audition is successful if you learned something and if you did your best. Not every role is right for every actor—even if that actor came well prepared, felt that they were better than everyone else, or felt it was their turn for a role. Casting is not done by seniority. The entire directing team weighs in on these decisions. Each student is judged solely on their fit for a given role as revealed through a rigorous and thoughtful audition process, chemistry with other actors, and the artistic vision for the show.
If you would like feedback, please schedule an appointment with Ms. DeLapp after Sept 4th. We ask that you take this time to reflect on your preparation and performance at your auditions. Generate specific questions. My intention is to help you grow as an artist and the feedback comes from the heart.
If you were not cast, we encourage you to stay involved with us. There will be many ways to get involved!
