My personal exposure to the dramatic arts, as an alumna of Rocklin High School (Class of 2003), had a profound impact on my high school experience. Rocklin’s theatre program inspired a love for performing and storytelling, which prompted me to travel across the country to Connecticut’s Hartt School of Music, Theatre and Dance where I received my BFA in Musical Theatre in 2007. Using my undergraduate conservatory training, I moved to New York City to pursue a professional acting career. After “pounding the pavement” for a few years, during which I worked on independent projects, new works, and staged readings, I realized that I longed to further develop my craft as an actor and as an educator. I come from a family of educators so this always felt like the natural trajectory of my life. I proudly received my Master’s Degree in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York in 2013. My participation in this program proved to be one of best choices of my life. It afforded me the opportunity to reclaim my artistry and enhanced my love for the theatre making process. I have never felt more fulfilled as an artist than when I am teaching and directing. After three incredibly fulfilling years creating a program and teaching in the South Bronx, NY I am excited to bring my experience, passion, and artistry to Dublin High.
